Chapter two is divided into three subjects: TIMING, TEMPLES & TRUST! Let’s look into Trust.

PLACES IN THE HEART! – Part 2
There are two ways to learn from David’s prayer in Psalm 139:23-24.
First, we need to pray His prayer. Secondly, we need to change the way we think.
Let’s review:
In John 2:1-12, We realize that only Jesus can take our emptiness and replace it with new wine.
In John 2:13-22, We learn that God wants us to renew our thinking and become a living temple!
In John 2:23-25, We find that Jesus knows our hearts & minds & that we must change!
We need the Holy Spirit to reveal where anxious thinking is stifling our relationship with Him. It’s all about our relationship. We must change the way we think. Rethink Romans 12:1-2
“ . . .by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (NKJV)
“ . . . in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will. (NIV)
Let’s not stop where we always stop. In verse 3 we find: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you. How we think about ourselves matters because it affects our relationship with Jesus. His measure of faith is given to us according to His word. Yes, we are born again by faith in His blood His resurrection. We are redeemed…but our mind is not!
Our mind needs transformation. Our response to His provision of power and Word within us can transform our motives, opinions and reasoning! Remember John 2:24 says that Jesus knows what’s in us! Knowing what’s in others, or what’s on the news or what is in our hearts does not change us. We must change the way we think.
“As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” (Proverbs 23:7)
