“Seize your moments in the fierce urgency of now”  TD Jakes

Martin Luther King described the critical times of the 1960’s Civil Rights Movement as urgent. His exact words are remembered as the “fierce urgency of now”.  The problem he was born to solve wouldn’t go away. The urgency of it was “now” or never.

Likewise, the timely manner in which Jesus walked out our redemption could be described the same. Today the intensity of what God is doing in our lives should be reflective on our times. Advancing the Kingdom requires a fierce tenacity in every generation.  The challenge is to measure up.

Today’s a great day to jerk out the slack generated by complacency.

Two questions:

  1. What is your “fierce urgency?”
  2. Are you in the “now” of this moment?

The challenge today is to walk out the instinctive urgency within us in the context of the bigger picture. Individually take a step.  Seize your moment. Fiercely live invested. “We must seize the moments we’re to be more than our circumstances dictate.” TD Jakes

“So be very careful how you live, not being like those with no understanding, but live honourably with true wisdom, for we are living in evil times.   Take full advantage of every day as you spend you life for his purposes.” Ephesians 5:15-16 PT
